Can you guess among the following options?
1. Spent a week soaking at beautiful Hawaian beaches
2. Visited the family and had awesome food
3. Caught up on sleep
4. Wrote another 10K lines of code and released more features
The right guess is #4. Sad but true. In fact, we were so busy developing and testing new features that we didn't even write a post about it to let everyone know. So, here is my belated (3-4 weeks) post on some of the recent features.
1. RSVP:Want to know who will make it for this Saturday's game? We have integrated a handy RSVP feature within calendar that your team can use to let you know if they can make it and add details such as 'I will be bringing Gatorade or I need a carpool'. You can even send an email right from the calendar and ask people to click on a link within the email to respond to RSVP. You can check the schedule anytime to see how many people have said yes/no/maybe. Cutting the email traffic by another 1/3rd here.
2. Add and edit identity:Do people really know you as 'Sally Smith' or 'Kate's mom'? We figured that it's the later. We now have an option for team/group members to announce themselves in the context of their relationship with the group at the time of joining. What if you type 'Dan's mom' when you really wanted to say 'Kate's mom'? Relax! Only last night, we added the option to edit your identity ( go to Network -> Edit identity on your personal profile). To err is human.
3. Automatic calendar and news consolidation: Have kids playing soccer, baseball, flag football and everything else in between? How would you keep track of each kids schedule? On Vikaza, we will automatically consolidates schedule from every team/scout group you join and add it to your personal calendar. As if this was not enough, we will color-code it for you (you can change the colors to your liking) and update it automatically whenever the coach changes the schedule. We will also consolidate any news added on the team profile and display it in your personal profile. You will never miss a thing!
4. View and resend Invites: Did you wonder to whom you had already send invites to join your team or group network and when? We did too! Now, you can go to Network->View Invites to not only check the previously sent invitations but can also resend the invites to people who have not accepted yet.
5. Scores and standings:This is a big one. Add scores and standings will be calculated for you automatically. More details in the previous post.
