CMSL was started in the summer of 1973  under the guidance of Bill and Gail Walker and Bill and Betty Straehle.

The League now consists of nine divisions and a total of 54 summer swim teams.  Central Maryland Swimming offers competition for all levels and ages of swimmers.  Summer swimming is fun, challenging, invigorating and exciting!
