Meet your Swim Coaches

The Old Georgetown Club is happy to offer a competitive summer Swim and Dive team to its members. Our team's mission is to provide a fun, family-oriented and poisitive recreational swimming and/or diving experience for the youth of the community. The environment strives to promote lasting friendships, competitive spirit and the joy of attaining one's personal best! Here is the excellent coaching staff for 2010: Connie VanLieshout, Head Coach Connie began her swimming career at OGC at age 8. She has coached for 41 years , starting when she was 4! Connie has been the head swim coach at OGC for the past 3 years. She also coaches year-round for the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club. Connie currently teaches 4th and 5th grade in the Montgomery County School System. Lisa Robinson, Assistant Coach Lisa grew up swimming and volunteering for OGC. She was an assistant coach for OGC between 2003 and 2005. She graduated from UMBC in 2008. She is currently in nursing school, and is also an assistant coach for RMSC. She believes team spirit and having fun are the nuts and bolts of Old Georgetown's engineers! Leah Walpuck, Assistant Coach Hi! I'm Leah and this will be my fourth year coaching at OGC. I first joined the swim team when I was five and haven't wanted to leave OGC since. I will be a sophomire at Colby College next year and am absolutely in love with the school but am looking forward to another amazing summer with my dolphin family! Courtney Wimer, Assistant Coach Hello! I'm Courtney and this will be my fourth year coaching for OGC! I have been a member of the swim team since I was 8 years old, and I have never had so much fun! I am going to be a sophomore at Frostburg State University next year and I am majoring in social work! I am looking forward to reuniting with my OGC family! Can't wait to see everyone! Andrew Gemunder, Pre-team Coach Andrew is a 17-year-old junior at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. He has been involved in MCSL since age 6; he has coaches pre-team for three years. Along with swimming in the 15-18s, Andrew also plays varsity baseball for Gonzaga. Andrew loves coaching youth swimming and can't wait to work with OGC's future swimming stars.
